ScheduleSync is a Chrome extension that helps users synchronize their PowerSchool class schedules with Google Calendar.
This Privacy Policy explains what information ScheduleSync accesses, how that information is used, and how it is stored.
ScheduleSync accesses class schedule information available through the user's PowerSchool account. Depending on the information displayed by PowerSchool, this may include:
ScheduleSync also accesses Google Calendar, after authorization by the user, in order to create, find, and update calendar events associated with the user's class schedule.
ScheduleSync does not collect or store the user's PowerSchool username or password.
ScheduleSync uses the user's existing authenticated PowerSchool browser session. Users sign in directly through PowerSchool.
If the user's PowerSchool session expires, ScheduleSync may notify the user that they need to sign in to PowerSchool again before synchronization can continue.
PowerSchool schedule information is used only to provide ScheduleSync's schedule synchronization functionality.
ScheduleSync processes this information to create and update corresponding events in the Google Calendar authorized by the user.
ScheduleSync does not use schedule information for advertising, profiling, data brokerage, or unrelated purposes.
ScheduleSync requests authorization to access Google Calendar so that it can find, create, and update calendar events required for schedule synchronization.
Google Calendar information accessed by ScheduleSync is used only to provide and maintain the schedule synchronization feature.
Users can revoke ScheduleSync's access to their Google account through their Google account settings.
ScheduleSync may store limited information using Chrome's local extension storage so that the extension can operate correctly. This may include:
This information is stored locally through the user's browser and is used to provide ScheduleSync's functionality.
ScheduleSync does not send the user's PowerSchool schedule, PowerSchool credentials, or Google Calendar information to servers operated by the ScheduleSync developer.
Schedule information is transferred to Google Calendar only as necessary to provide the calendar synchronization feature requested by the user.
ScheduleSync does not sell users' personal information.
ScheduleSync does not share users' information with third parties for advertising, marketing, data brokerage, profiling, lending, or other unrelated purposes.
After the user has provided the necessary authorization and consent, ScheduleSync may periodically check PowerSchool for schedule information and synchronize changes with Google Calendar.
Automatic synchronization relies on the user's existing PowerSchool browser session. If that session is no longer valid, synchronization may pause until the user signs in again.
ScheduleSync does not maintain a developer-operated database containing users' PowerSchool schedules or Google Calendar information.
Information stored locally by the Chrome extension may remain in the user's browser until it is cleared or the extension is removed.
Calendar events created by ScheduleSync are stored in the user's Google Calendar and are subject to Google's applicable policies and the user's Google account settings.
ScheduleSync is designed to limit access to information necessary to provide its schedule synchronization functionality.
ScheduleSync does not intentionally collect PowerSchool passwords or transmit PowerSchool passwords to the ScheduleSync developer.
ScheduleSync interacts with third-party services, including PowerSchool and Google Calendar. Use of those services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
ScheduleSync is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by PowerSchool or Google.
This Privacy Policy may be updated if ScheduleSync's functionality or data practices change. The effective date shown at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.
